Lord Ganesha is a Hindu deity in a human form with the head of an elephant. Ganesha represents the power of the Supreme Being that removes obstacles and ensures success in human endeavours.
Ganesha is sitting on a bed of skulls (representing the conquering of evil). Ganesha's four arms indicate his power to assist people and destroy evil. The instruments within his hands represent the role he is assuming:
- the axe is the ability to destroy evil and repel obstacles.
- the Lotus Flower symbolizes the highest goal of human evolution.
- the goad, helps him to propel mankind forward on their eternal path.
